The Victron Lithium SuperPack LSP 12.8/100 is a high-current lithium iron phosphate battery designed for simple, reliable and safe 12-volt energy systems. Manufactured by Victron Energy and identified by the manufacturer part number BAT512110712, this battery is intended for users who want the advantages of LiFePO4 technology without additional system components or complex configuration.
With a nominal voltage of 12.8 V and a capacity of 100 Ah, the battery provides an energy content of 1280 Wh. The Lithium SuperPack series is Victron’s basic LiFePO4 line, deliberately reduced to the essentials in order to offer a robust and cost-effective solution. Unlike Victron’s Smart or NG lithium batteries, the SuperPack does not provide Bluetooth connectivity, data monitoring or system integration via GX devices. Instead, it focuses on ease of use and immediate readiness for operation. Thanks to the fully integrated battery management system, the battery can be used straight out of the box without any external BMS or additional hardware.
The integrated BMS protects the battery against cell overvoltage and undervoltage, ensures proper cell balancing and includes protection against excessive temperature. These functions safeguard the battery during charging and discharging and contribute to a long and reliable service life, even under high current conditions.
The LSP 12.8/100 is designed for high charge and discharge currents. The maximum continuous charge current is 100 A. In terms of cycle life, the battery delivers approximately 2500 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge. At lower depths of discharge, the achievable number of cycles increases significantly, making it suitable for applications with frequent daily cycling.
To increase total energy capacity, multiple identical LSP 12.8/100 batteries can be connected in parallel. This allows flexible scaling of the system without the need for communication cables or external control units.
The Victron Lithium SuperPack LSP 12.8/100 is well suited for simple 12-volt systems in marine environments, motorhomes, service vehicles, small off-grid installations and as a direct replacement for lead-acid batteries where an uncomplicated transition to lithium technology is desired.
