Description

The Quattro 48/10000/140-100/100 from Victron Energy is a combination of a 48V 8000W sine wave inverter, a powerful battery charger, and a transfer switch. It features two switchable AC outputs and two AC inputs, each equipped with a 100A transfer switch. The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources: for example, the utility grid and a generator, or even two generators. The Quattro automatically connects to the active source.
The integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 140A, allowing even large batteries to be fully charged quickly when shore/mains power is available. The 48V sine wave voltage converter built into the Quattro converts your battery power into 230V alternating current. Thanks to the true sine wave, the power quality is also perfectly suited for sensitive electronic devices. In addition to the two integrated device types, one lightning-fast 100A transfer switch is installed for each AC input. Thanks to these switches, countless applications can be implemented, even in grid-connected areas. For system integration, two COM ports are available in addition to the VE.Bus port, enabling virtually unlimited networking of the Quattro.

Extremely flexible thanks to 2 AC inputs and 2 AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a grid failure or an interruption in shore/generator power, the Quattro takes over power to the connected loads. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at one of the Quattro's inputs. Loads that must not drain the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.

massive performance expansion possible
Up to 6 Quattros can be connected in parallel. For example, with six 48/10000/140 units, this results in 54 kW/60 kVA of power or 840 A of charging current. Three units can be connected in a three-phase configuration. But that's not all: Up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel, yielding 162 kW/180 kVA of inverter power and over 2,500 A of charging capacity.

PowerControl – Working with limited generator power, restricted shore or grid power
The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. Therefore, it draws a lot of current from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC). The MultiControl remote control panel allows you to set the maximum mains or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC devices into account and uses only the remaining power for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.

PowerAssis t – “performance enhancement” of generators and shore connection support
This function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle. It allows the Quattro to support underpowered alternative sources. Load peaks often occur only for a limited period of time. In such a case, the Quattro ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for with energy from the battery.

BackUp system : alternating current even in case of power failure
The Quattro can be used with both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems, as well as other alternative energy systems. Grid failure detection software is available.

simple system configuration
If settings on an individual device need to be changed, this can be done within a few minutes using a DIP switch setting procedure.
Parallel and three-phase systems can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.

On-site and remote monitoring and control options
Several options are available: Battery monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power Panel, Color Control Panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Victron Ethernet Remote, Victron Global Remote, and the Color Control Panel enable remote maintenance and monitoring of the MultiPlus. System data can also be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.

Remote configuration
If systems with a Color Control Panel are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.
