Rugged, robust, type-approved multiplexer with integrated NMEA 2000 connectivity, high-speed Ethernet streaming of data, flexible configuration, auto-switching and sentence filtering.
Multiplexers are typically used to combine the data output of multiple instruments into a smaller number of outputs. Since you cannot connect two talkers directly to one listener, a multiplexer enables the output of the data via a single talker connection.
An example of this would be a commercial vessel with multiple NMEA 0183 GPS, wind, AIS and depth instruments. To combine all of this data and send it to an NMEA 0183 display, the various talker inputs can be combined into one output on the PRO-NDC-1E2K. If the data is required in an NMEA 2000 network, the 1E2K can convert this data and output it to a connected N2K network thanks to the conversion matrix in the product and the integrated NMEA2000 connectivity.
With the PRO-NDC-1E2K, data can be filtered, routed or blocked and monitored, enabling greater flexibility and control over all instrument data.
The device is also capable of streaming NMEA data in various formats over Ethernet, meaning it can be connected to other existing Ethernet systems and pass vessel data to connected third-party applications or devices.
