The aesthetically pleasing above-deck design is based on the philosophy that form follows function; the motor and drive are housed in a two-piece watertight enclosure, saving space below deck.
The two-piece housing consists of cast aluminium, a marine-grade hard-anodised aluminium front section, and a robust, easily removable composite motor cover.
This two-piece watertight housing enables quick and easy routine maintenance on deck.
Simple installation ensures safe and fast mounting.
The stainless steel pressure arm always applies maximum control pressure to the anchor chain (rope, splice or chain).
The new and revolutionary patented Wave Design chainwheel is capable of accommodating a wide range of chain pitches within the specified chain size diameters, suitable for use with the HRC10 series.
The unique Maxwell Wrap Around horizontal chainwheel ensures that more than 90° of the wheel is used, resulting in significantly improved rope and chain handling compared with competing designs.
The HRC10 works equally well with all-chain rodes for those who want the increased safety and holding power of an all-chain anchoring system.
The integrated chain pipe and large through-deck hawse pipe guide rope/chain safely into and out of the chain locker.
The clutch/brake mechanism allows manual ‘free-fall’ anchoring and retrieval of anchor chain and anchor by emergency hand crank when required.
The hard-anodised aluminium gearbox housing with sealed oil bath and marine-grade construction provides highly efficient power transmission via precision worm and worm wheel.
