Description

This package was developed for racing and high-performance boats and includes the i70s multifunction colour instrument, a wireless vertical wind system with extended length, the EV1 heading sensor, as well as depth, speed and temperature measurement. All cables and connectors required to set up a SeaTalkng basic network are included in the kit. The supplied Micro-Talk™ Wireless Performance Sailing Gateway communicates directly with the kit's wireless vertical masthead transducer T222 and provides precise wind speed and direction. Thanks to the greater height and vertical arrangement of the transducer, the measuring unit is positioned at the optimum height above the masthead to minimise updrafts and turbulence caused by the mainsail and the boat's rigging. The system also includes the Airmar DST800 hull transducer for depth, speed, log and water temperature functions. All of this data can be displayed on the supplied i70s multifunction colour instrument and the wireless multifunction remote control. Also included is Raymarine's award-winning Evolution Heading Sensor EV1. The EV1 is fully self-calibrating and measures the boat's movement with its 9-axis sensor system. With built-in Evolution R4 software, the EV1 refines the values for wind speed, wind direction, course over ground, speed over ground and cross-track error by filtering out the adverse effects of the vessel's yaw, pitch, roll and heel on these values. The system also provides an ultra-stable heading source for other electronic devices on board such as autopilots, radar systems, chartplotters and instruments. The system can also be easily expanded as required with Raymarine's extensive range of wired and wireless instruments, sensors, multifunction displays and autopilots.
