The Victron Argo 80-2AC battery separation diode (MPN ARG080201000R) enables the loading distribution from a power source (e.g. alternator) to several battery cycle.
With the help of battery separating diodes, 2 or three separate battery cycle can be loaded from just one power source. The batteries do not have to be connected to each other, which simplifies the installation of these separation diodes very much and even saves installation costs.
Technical features of the Victron Argo 80-2ac battery separation diode

Electricity flow -regulating alternator connection
Some types of generators need a DC voltage on the B+ POL for the starting system. On the one hand, a direct cable connection is available due to the connection between the battery and the generator. On the other hand, however, the separation diode prevents the flow of electricity, so that the generator does not start. The ARGO Diode from the Model 80-2AC has a special connection for the start-up stimulation when the generator is started and ensures a smooth current flow between the generator and the battery.
