Description
Blue Sea BS 9002e 4 position battery master switch with AFD for diesel and petrol engines. The switch is gas-tight and suitable for two batteries / battery banks.
MAIN FEATURES
- Alternator Field Separation (AFD)
- Switches isolated battery banks to all loads or combines battery banks to all loads
- Ignition proof for installation onboard a gasoline powered boat
- Housing design allows for surface mounting or panel mounting
TECHNICAL DETAILS
- Switch positions: 4 - Batt.1/Batt.2/Batt. 1+2/OFF
- Battery Combination: Yes
- Colour: red
- Alternator Field Disconnect: Yes (disconnect switch protects the diodes in the alternator if the switch is turned OFF while the engine is running. If the disconnect switch is not being used to protect the alternator, an LED can be connected to the AFD terminals to indicate when battery switch is in any position other than OFF.)
- Maximum voltage: 32V DC
- Clamp bolt torque: 15.82 Nm
- Continuous charge current: 350 amps.
- Peak charge current.: 600 amps
- Starting current 30 sec: 1200 amps. The current required by the starter before starting the engine. The cranking current varies significantly during the starting cycle. First, there is a large surge of current required to overcome the motor's inertia and compression. This increase can be two to four times the average starting current. The starting current is used for sizing batteries, cables and battery switches.
