Description

Digital Yachts HSC100 compass sensor With NMEA output special programming for class a transponder
The nautical compass HSC100 uses fluxgate technology to deliver high-speed course information (10 Hz; ten times per second) via its NMEA 0183 output. In contrast to other navigation, the data rates of 1 Hz (once a second), the electronic high-speed compass HSC100 from Digital Yacht is suitable for use with Marpa/ARPA radar. In connection with ploters and navigation software with radar-overlay, it enables the boat course to be determined.
This nautical compass has a simple NMEA output with a two-core cable and is suitable for both 12 and 24-volt systems with minimal power consumption. It is waterproof and can be installed both indoors and outdoors (required for boats with steel hull). It has automatic calibration/distraction and offset correction function to compensate for any influences of magnetic fields in the area.
The compass HSC100 in the NMEA 2000 version contains the ICONVERT converter from Digital Yacht for easy installation. Simply lay the 15 m long thin cable from the HSC100 to the nearest point in the NMEA 2000 network and connect ickonvert to the cable and the NMEA bus.
Digital Yacht has now also developed a new version of the turning speed of the HSC100 compass sensor. As a result, he outputs the HDT and red news protocols, which are processed by class A transponders and transmitters. For non-commercial shipping, this represents a simple and inexpensive solution for the transfer of course data and turning speed to a class A transponder (article number ZDIGHSC100T).
