The OPTO-4 offers comprehensive galvanic OPTO isolation to protect the PC input/receiver, as well as crucial spike suppression to improve PC output/transmitter protection. Originally designed for systems that wanted to receive NMEA 0183 data without the risk of ground loop damage, the flexible OPTO-4 can be used to connect to any RS422 and standard RS232 connection, while powering itself via the RS232 port, making installation quick and easy.
