The new ACR GlobalFix V6 EPIRB is a versatile emergency radio beacon suitable for both recreational and commercial vessels. With advanced features such as Return Link Service (RLS), it provides peace of mind by confirming that the distress alert has been successfully transmitted and received. ACR's innovative Near Field Communication (NFC) allows the EPIRB to be quickly connected to a smartphone to run diagnostics and ensure that the battery is charged and the device is functioning properly. The GlobalFix V6 is therefore an ideal safety solution for all vessel types and activities – whether for coastal cruising, offshore passages, or working and fishing at sea.
Advantages:
- Mobile app connectivity
- Dual 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz signal transmission
- Return Link Service
- Compatible with GPS, Galileo & Glonass
- Visible and IR strobe array
ACR, the world's leading manufacturer of electronic safety equipment for marine use, presents the new GlobalFix V6 EPIRB (Emergency Positioning Radio Beacon). This emergency beacon uses a 406 MHz satellite connection to send distress signals to the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite rescue system. With innovative Return Link Service (RLS) technology, the user receives visual confirmation that their distress alert has been successfully received. A 121.5 MHz homing signal assists rescue services in locating the activated beacon on site.
In addition, a visible and infrared strobe light ensures that the beacon can be quickly identified even at night or in restricted visibility, significantly speeding up rescue and recovery. Another highlight is the new Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, which allows users to monitor the functions of their EPIRB via a smartphone app. With the ACR GlobalFix V6 EPIRB, you get reliable, durable, and highly advanced rescue technology that ensures your safety at sea worldwide.
Near Field Communication (NFC) ensures the EPIRB is fully operational via the app
NFC technology:
Easy diagnostics via smartphone Thanks to NFC technology (Near Field Communication), EPIRB diagnostics can be accessed quickly and easily via smartphone. When a smartphone is held near the GlobalFix V6 EPIRB, the ACR Product App opens automatically and provides direct access to all important EPIRB data.
In the app, the user receives detailed status information, including:
- Battery life
- Number of self-tests and GNSS tests performed
- Duration of previous activation
- Detailed logs of all self-tests and GNSS tests
Map view of GNSS tests:
- Location of the last test
- Date and time
- Time required for GNSS coordinate determination
- Number of satellites used
- Accuracy of position determination
Thanks to the simple NFC connection, the user can check the status of all EPIRB functions at any time and ensure that the device is working perfectly.
