The PRO-BUF-2, an intelligent type-approved NMEA buffer. Two OPTO-isolated inputs and twelve ISO-Drive™-isolated outputs. Provides device protection and outstanding flexibility in one product.

The PRO-BUF-2 is robust, features a stainless steel housing, and provides isolation on all inputs and outputs. With two NMEA 0183 inputs, twelve NMEA 0183 outputs, one bidirectional serial port, and one Ethernet port, the PRO-BUF-2 is a perfect solution for larger leisure craft, commercial shipping, and a great addition for systems requiring type-approved equipment.

The PRO-BUF-2 was designed for most NMEA 0183 systems and is ready to use immediately by simply hardwiring the dual-mode inputs as required. 

The manually configurable basic operating modes of the intelligent NMEA 0183 buffer include variations of buffer modes, intelligent automatic switching, and combination modes.

For all other configurations, the 'User Configuration Mode' is selected when the mode inputs are left unconnected. The web-based configuration tool allows full customization of the PRO-BUF-2 and is compatible with all common operating systems. Using the web-based configuration tool allows fine-tuning of the data available at each output.

For quick and easy installation, the PROBUF-2 features 2-part plug-in connectors that allow the use of screw terminals* and a professional DIN rail mounting system (DIN rail not included). The unit can also be mounted directly on a bulkhead.

Helpful LEDs indicate power, data input, data output, and alarm status to support diagnostics.
Data statistics and load indication via the web tool provide a real-time view of the data.
