Function of the Cyrix battery couplers in general
The Cyrix-Li-CT 12/24V-1220A is a high-performance microprocessor-controlled relay, which automatically switches batteries in parallel when a specified voltage value has reached (which shows that the batteries are loaded) and, which the batteries are released again Separate if the voltage drops below the conservation voltage value (which shows that one or both batteries are being discharged). Cyrix battery couplers are ideal for replacing separation diodes. Working method of the Cyrix-Li-CT 12/24V 120A
The functionality of the Cyrix-Li-CT 12/24V 120a corresponds to that of the Cyrix-CT.
The Cyrix-Li-CT connects a lead-acid starter battery and a LIFEPO4 battery:
- If the output "Charge Disconnect" of the VE. Bus BMS is high
- If he measures 13.4 V (or 26.8 V) or more on his power connections
The Cyrix-CT switches off immediately:
- When its control output reaches the "Free Floating" state (open circuit)
- When its control output shows a cell overvoltage or a cell over temperature
- If the battery voltage drops to less than 13.2 V
Start assist function: A short positive impulse closes the relay for 30 seconds (see illustration on page 2). A built-in TVS diode limits the tip of the voltage that can occur if the Cyrix suddenly switches off due to a cell overvoltage or over temperature.
