The Victron Energy Multi RS 48/6000/100-50 is a high-performance 48 V inverter/charger designed for modern energy storage systems requiring high efficiency, intelligent power management and flexible system integration. Delivering 6 kVA of continuous AC power and up to 100 A battery charging current, it is suitable for residential, commercial and mobile applications.
Unlike the Multi RS Solar, this model does not include integrated MPPT solar charge controllers, making it the ideal choice for installations using external Victron MPPT charge controllers or AC-coupled photovoltaic systems.
Built on high-frequency transformerless technology, the Multi RS offers outstanding efficiency while maintaining a compact and lightweight design. Its low weight simplifies installation without compromising performance or reliability.
For stationary installations, the Multi RS fully supports Victron Energy Storage System (ESS) functionality. It can operate with or without a connected battery, allowing new installations to start as grid-connected systems and later expand with battery storage when required. Advanced ESS features such as self-consumption optimisation, backup power and zero-feed-in are available when connected to a GX communication device.
For mobile applications, the Multi RS provides reliable battery charging from shore power or generators while supplying AC loads from the battery system. Excess energy can also be exported to the grid where local regulations permit.
The integrated display provides clear access to operating data, while Bluetooth connectivity enables fast commissioning and configuration using the VictronConnect app. Firmware updates, system monitoring and historical performance data are available directly from a smartphone or tablet.
When combined with a GX device such as the Cerbo GX, the Multi RS integrates seamlessly into the Victron ecosystem, enabling remote monitoring through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) Portal, advanced energy management and intelligent automation using Venus OS and Node-RED.
