With the new EVOLUTION Autopilot from Raymarine, self-steering your boat is easier than ever before. Complex calibration is no longer necessary. Thanks to the intelligent EV sensor, the autopilot monitors all vessel movements in every direction and automatically adjusts steering to sea conditions without the user having to make any further settings. Safe arrival at your desired destination is therefore guaranteed. Another major advantage of the autopilot is its installation flexibility. While you install the control unit wherever it is easiest to reach, you can mount the EV sensor wherever suits you best. Whether above or below deck. There are no mounting restrictions as with conventional heading sensors. The sensor core is protected against water ingress to IPx6 and IPx7. You can easily connect the various components to each other via SeaTalk. The required cables and a rudder reference transducer are included in the scope of delivery. The autopilot is also NMEA2000 compatible.
This set consists of the EV-1 sensor, the ACU-200 actuator control unit, p70s control head (ideal for sailing boats), a Type 1 mechanical linear drive, as well as the Evolution cable set.
EV-1 Sensor
The EV-1 is suitable for mechanical and hydraulic EVOLUTION autopilot systems. The SeaTalkNG network enables connection with just one cable for power and data from the EVOLUTION ACU (actuator control unit) and connection to the SeaTalkNG and NMEA2000 network.
Actuator Control Unit ACU-200
The robust ACU-200 reliably supplies power to the autopilot drive and can power the SeaTalkNG bus. The ACU-200 can control Type 1 drives. Incl. rudder reference transducer.
p70s Control Head
The p70s control head is operated via function keys and was specially developed for sailing yachts. The advanced LED backlighting provides brilliant colors and contrast with low power consumption. The wide horizontal and vertical viewing angle allows reading from almost any direction. The p70s works with the LightHouse user interface.
Type 1 Mechanical Linear Drive (12 V)
The Type 1 mechanical linear drive from Raymarine offers:
- enormous thrust, short hard-over to hard-over times, and quiet operation
- low resistance to minimize the effect on steering when the autopilot is in standby
- a powerful electric motor that drives a planetary gearbox via a fail-safe clutch and a high-tensile belt drive
- high performance with low power consumption
