Description
The semi-flexible ETFE-AL 160W V2 solar panel from Offgridtec is based on a groundbreaking material composition (aluminum-ETFE) and is equipped with highly efficient mono cells. The output voltage is 18V DC, which makes it very suitable for a wide variety of application scenarios. It is also walkable and significantly less slippery than its predecessors, making it the perfect choice for the marine and mobile sectors. Power is supplied by state-of-the-art solar cells, which, thanks to the latest technology, boast remarkable cell efficiency and also stand out from the crowd with low power degradation values. This is the new and improved version of the popular ETFE-AL 160W solar panel (3-01-012500). In the new version, the solar modules are equipped with both improved solar cells and 11 busbars, which lead to improved light absorption and reduce the impact of partial shading.

ETFE layers
On the front of the module, two superimposed ETFE layers provide solid protection for the internal cells and high light output for many years. Thanks to a new structure of the outermost layer, slip resistance has been significantly improved, making the module safe to walk on. Higher long-term yields are achieved thanks to better light transmission and significantly less clouding of the transparent ETFE front layers compared to conventional solar modules with different front coatings. The solid ETFE front offers strong protection against hail and makes the module completely resistant to salt water. The integrated aluminum backsheet virtually eliminates the risk of cell cracks due to incorrect handling or installation. The series is equipped with the highest quality solar cells, which offer a high cell efficiency of 22.3 percent.
11 Busbar technology
Power management is handled by 11 busbars. This advanced technology manages power across eleven electrical conductors (busbars). This enables reliable throughput, even at high currents, while minimizing heat loss. Efficient power distribution ensures solid performance of the solar modules, resulting in improved overall efficiency and higher yields.
Monocrystalline modules
Monocrystalline solar panels are an advanced form of photovoltaic module constructed from a single crystal lattice. This crystalline structure enables greater efficiency in converting sunlight into electrical energy compared to other types of solar panels. Monocrystalline cells are characterized by their uniform structure, which allows for more efficient movement of charge carriers.
