The Victron Energy MPPT 100/20 belongs to the BlueSolar MPPT charge controller family and offers ultra-fast power tracking, which can increase the yield of your solar system.

Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking
By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) modules, MPPT technology ensures that all available energy is extracted from the modules and stored. The benefit of this is most noticeable when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity is constantly changing.

Remote monitoring and control
You can remotely control and monitor the extensive functions of your BlueSolar MPPT charger by attaching a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or another device via VictronConnect. If your system is connected to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) internet portal via a GX device, you have full access to your MPPT anytime, anywhere. Both VictronConnect and VRM are available free of charge.

load output
Over-discharging the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has discharged to a predefined voltage level. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: see Battery Life.
The load output is short-circuit protected. Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery. The inverter remote control is best connected to the load output. A special interface cable may be required; please refer to the manual.

Battery Life: Intelligent battery management
If the solar charge controller is unable to fully charge the battery within a day, the battery status will constantly fluctuate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge." This operating mode (no regular full charging) will damage a battery within a few weeks or months.
The Battery Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and, if necessary, raises the load disconnect threshold daily (i.e., the load is disconnected earlier) until the recovered energy is sufficient to charge the battery to nearly 100%. From this point onward, the load disconnect threshold is modulated so that a near-100% charge is achieved approximately once a week.
