The 100W Offgridtec OLP V2 combines an overlapping wafer design with modern PERC technology. Its optimized performance, compact dimensions, and modern appearance make it ideal for 12V systems and various applications requiring a powerful, space-saving power source.

This is an improved version of the popular OLP 100W 12V solar module (MPN 3-01-011070), offering optimal performance and a compact design for flexible installations. The increased short-circuit current and module voltage significantly boost overall performance. The new version features both improved solar cells and 11 busbars, resulting in improved light capture and reducing the impact of partial shading.

Overlapping design

Overlapping in the wafer design of monocrystalline solar modules is crucial for their exceptionally high module efficiency. It enables more precise use of the available area, minimizes power losses through reduced line resistance, and limits material loss during manufacturing. The targeted arrangement of the wafers effectively minimizes gaps between them, thereby increasing power density and optimizing the overall efficiency of the modules. This method is therefore particularly advantageous for solar applications in spaces with limited space, as it maximizes energy generation per unit area.

Innovative
PERC technology

PERC technology, also known as Passivated Emitter Rear Cell or backside passivation, is a key technology in Offgridtec OLP solar modules that increases the efficiency of the solar cells. It creates a dielectric layer between the conventional aluminum metallization and the silicon wafer layer on the back of the cell. This layer is treated with a laser to create tiny holes. This dielectric layer reflects light, which would normally penetrate to the back without generating charge carriers, back into the solar cell. This gives photons an additional chance to generate electricity. PERC technology improves efficiency across different wavelengths, increases the probability that electrons contribute to power generation, and helps reduce system costs and increase energy yield per unit area.
