Description

The Victron Inverter Phoenix 24/5000 is the largest 24V version of a Phoenix inverter. It features several innovative technologies, particularly in the communications sector, that make the 24/5000 a future-proof investment. The continuous output of this device is 4000W. From a 24V battery, this device generates 230V alternating current with a pure sine wave and a clean 50Hz frequency, which allows even the most sensitive electronic devices to be operated without compromise. The voltage converter also scores highly in terms of power consumption and efficiency. The icing on the cake is that this device class now also supports parallel and three-phase operation with other Phoenix inverters in the same series.

VE.Bus RS-485 communication port – far-reaching new possibilities
All Phoenix inverters in the 12V/24V/48V-3000-5000 series have an RS-485 data port and can therefore be connected to a computer/notebook using the optional VE Interface MK2-USB, opening up completely new possibilities in terms of configuration and monitoring.

Here are some of the most important options that this innovation opens up for you:
Demand-based programming of many parameters such as output voltage, frequency, upper and lower voltage limits and much more
can be integrated into a computer-aided monitoring and control system
All Phoenix Compact converters can also be used on VENet, Victron Energy's innovative power monitoring network, or other computer-based control and monitoring systems
Easy programming of the integrated relay. The relay can be used, for example, to generate signals in special situations or to start a generator.
Parallel and three-phase operation with other Phoenix inverters possible

The development of the new Phoenix series was uncompromisingly focused on creating an inverter with a clean sine wave output and high efficiency. By applying the latest hybrid RF technology, Victron was able to develop a high-quality product with compact dimensions and low weight that can easily deliver any desired power output. SinusMax technology, which also features in this series, enables particularly high peak currents when switching on devices up to 10,000W!

Further technical information of the Phoenix 24/5000
4000W continuous power, suitable for all common 24V batteries
true sine wave delivers a precise 50Hz frequency
Much higher peak power possible thanks to integrated Sinus-Max technology from Victron
converts 24V DC to 230V AC with pure sine wave
Advanced hybrid RF technology is used, which is much more powerful and less susceptible to interference than conventional radio frequency technology
very low self-consumption and high efficiency
integrated energy saving mode
with 2-pole alarm contact which can be used as an output for an on/off remote control
very high starting power thanks to SinusMax technology

The Sinus-Max technology
A key feature of SinusMax technology is its particularly high starting power. This is not possible with conventional HF technology. Phoenix inverters are capable of handling the high starting currents of refrigeration compressors, tool motors, and similar devices. Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection and three-phase operation. Up to six inverter units can be connected in parallel to increase power. Three-phase operation is also possible.

Load transfer to other AC sources: The automatic load transfer switch
For lower power requirements, we recommend the Filax automatic switch. This allows computers and other sensitive electronic devices to continue operating virtually uninterrupted, as the switching times are very short (less than 20 m/sec).
